By Frances Allen

When one thinks of the Philippines he or she would usually think of Boracay, Palawan, or maybe some of the other more popular places to visit. However, Pangasinan is another province that shows a lot of promise because of the many Pangasinan tourist spots to visit. For those who want to pay a visit to this place, do not miss these spots.

First on the list would be Hundred Islands in Alaminos in the Lingayen Gulf. There are literally a hundred islands for tourists to visit here and a lot of sights to see. Other than that, one can also enjoy a lot of sea activities such as canoeing, diving, and even kayaking, depend on his or her preference.

For those who are familiar with Boracay, another popular beach in the Philippines, Patar Beach is its counterpart in Pangasinan. Patar Beach is extremely beautiful but not as crowded as Boracay, making it very popular among most tourists. One may also be able to see a lot of marine life and scenery in this beach.

The Sky Plaza is another very popular tourist attraction in the eastern part. The Sky Plaza is actually a public park built with a balcony view for those who want to look at the scenery of other towns like Natividad and the towns that are beside it. For those who like to have a dose of history, it is also home to the Ayat ni Apo Jesus which is a place that features the Christ the Redeemer statue.

If one is the type who loves gardens or flowers, then the sunflower maze is the best place to check out. The sunflower maze is an actual maze that is surrounded by nothing but a lot of sunflowers and a farm where the farmers grow crops for the season. When it is harvesting season the guests may even pay to pick out some of the fresh crops so that they can try their hand at farming.

For those who are more into extreme sports, take a walk over to the Balungao Hilltop Adventure resort for a full on extreme sports adventure. First, go take a ride on the zip line and zip through the landscape to see the area. After getting off the zip line, one can take a hike, go for bungee jumping, try some extreme mountain biking, or maybe try an all terrain vehicle ride.

If one has always wanted to visit a magical and fantasy land, probably the Enchanted cave would be the closest thing that one will be able to get. The Enchanted cave is probably the most beautiful cave in the region looking like a massive, magical coral. One can even swim around the cove if he or she likes.

For those who would want to try something a little bit different than their usual vacation, then try visiting this place. It is one of the most popular places in the Philippines for tourists because of all the really awesome places to visit here. The six tourist destinations are spots that are well loved by many locals and tourists alike and they are also listed as some of the best attractions in the area.
