Croatia Summer Hotspots

By Jonny Blair

Croatia is a perfect destination for summer holidays and it attracts a great number of tourists each year with its over 1000 picturesque islands and gorgeous Adriatic coastline. There are plenty attractions, entertainments and places for relaxation in this friendly to tourists region. Along with the beaches, Croatia offers a lot of outdoor activities for young and old adventurers.

Zagreb, Split, Dubrovnik, Rivinj - these are only some of the Croatian hotspots that should be included in your summer holiday. But this is not all, as the uncountable exotic Croatian islands are going to make your trip unforgettable.

Tourists, who would like to learn more about the culture and traditions of the region, should necessarily visit Croatian capital, as Zagreb has many sights to offer. They include countless museums, among which is the Mimara Museum, where you will find a lot of valuable artifacts, the old town Gornji Grad, where the beautiful cathedral St. Stephen is built in Neo-Gothic style, Dolmac market, etc.

Local people call the city of Dubrovnik the "Peal of the Adriatic", and not without reason. Its marble streets and wonderful architecture of Baroque style, as well as the best sunny beaches in the region, make it one of the most desirable Croatian hotspots for tourists.

More and more tourists choose Split for their summer holiday destination, as this is a large seaside city, being a great starting point to reach the Dalmatian islands. One must-see attraction in the city is Diocletian's Palace, so don't leave Split before you visit it.

Hvar, or also known as the "Sun Island of Croatia", which popularity as a tourist destination increased in the recent years, offers a lot of sunshine and wonderful opportunities to enjoy the Adriatic Sea. Due to its mild climate, the tourist season continues here up to the beginning of the winter. More and more holidaymakers choose this 67 kilometres long island for their summer holiday destination. Take advantage of the rocky coastline and pebbly beaches, secluded coves and Croatian atoll, the olive groves and vineyards offered by the hospitable Hvar.

There are many other places in Croatia you could visit your summer vacations. For example, you could visit Rivinj, a town that offers great many sights and architectural attractions; Bol with its splendid beaches and other attractions; the city of Spadici, which is a paradise for sportsmen, who will find great sports facilities there, along with shopping opportunities and sunny beaches; lonely Makarsa, which is a beautiful destination where you can enjoy the beauty of the mountains and sea in one stunning place, and many other fascinating places.

Tourists who would like to make a culture trip, to learn many new exiting things about the region, to see a lot of sights and beautiful islands, as well as to have a great beach holiday at inexpensive prices can combine all these things in one summer holiday in Croatia. This country offers a lot of treasures to be explored and great many fantastic adventures to be experienced.
