Snorkeling is an activity that people use to find the marvelous creation of nature. It is done in oceans where people discover a lot and exercise their bodies. The key to having a good experience in the game is relaxing while inside the water. Over analyzing is not good. The mask you use should be well fitting to your face. It should be held up from the face to make sure the strap is not in your face. One then proceeds to inhale through the nose. This ensures that the mask seals perfectly and does stay on position without been held . Keep hair from getting in the seal. Also, ensure the strap is not tightened beyond snug as this may cause leakage due to seal breakage.

The fins chosen should be snug not tight. It is better to have big ones than small as once your feet get wet slipping them on is easy. Defogging of masks is quite important because otherwise you will not be able to see anything. They are defogging products sold in the market but even leaves or spit do the job just okay. Before scuba diving ensure you have practiced to breathe via the snorkel beforehand. The teeth should just rest on the snorkel. Biting gets your jaw sore. After that, floating face down or horizontally is practiced. To have something to direct your attention to apart from the diving keeps you away from overanalyzing.

The masks ought to remain dry on the inside though they can get wet sometimes. If the straps slips down by far wetting occurs. Raise your head and pull the lower edge of the mask from your mouth to clear water. Bursts of air clear snorkels that are flooded. It is important to cautiously breathe carefully after this. When you get out, just remove the snorkel and breathe. You can sometimes flood them to practice the techniques.

After one is confident on equipment usage the next step is mastering movement in water. This increases comfort level as maneuvering abilities are improved and chances of accidental bumps are minimized. Always remember to look around too and mark the exit point or a boat periodically as it is easy loosing track while in water. In addition, not having peripheral visions makes it worse.

Be aware of your limitations. When you have known them, be alert. It is not always good to push beyond your limits. You will improve with every experience. Consider the factors of water temperature, its surge, the currents and visibility in there. A relaxed person experiences more pleasure and better appreciation of environment. They are not exposed to many risks while in the water.

Caution should be taken not to spread seaweeds which are invasive. This is by cleaning your boat and gear before you move to another spot after diving, snorkeling or anchoring. Seaweeds require just small pieces to invade a new area.
